Product scope

Raw Compact’s current development scope is Nikon Z R3D NE and N-RAW (.NEV) video, Apple silicon, and macOS 14 or later. The four levels are Master, Studio, Edit and Max. NEF and NRW still-photo files, Intel Macs and other camera models are outside the stated scope.

Compression is lossy. Keep camera originals and review any copies before relying on them.

Release and purchase status

Raw Compact is sold on Gumroad: compactraw.gumroad.com/l/rawcompact. Your licence key arrives with your receipt and is also kept in your Gumroad library.

US$75, one-time. Your licence never expires and includes every 1.x update, on one activated Mac at a time. To move it, deactivate it online on the old Mac, then activate it on the new one. Each licence can be activated 5 times in total; after that, email us and we’ll sort it out. Promo licences given to creators work on one Mac only. After a successful online check it works up to seven days offline; when another check is due, reconnect before starting new jobs. An export already running finishes normally.

Lost or replaced Mac: if you can’t deactivate the old Mac, email [email protected] with your order email and we’ll reset the activation. Refunds are handled case by case: if Raw Compact doesn’t work on your supported Mac and we can’t fix it, you get your money back. Payment, receipts and sales tax are handled by Gumroad, the merchant of record.
