Raw Compact 1.1.0
2026-10-18Latest4K from 6K, camera-matched levels, real N-RAW ↔ R3D NE conversion and the Detail guard
- 4K from 6K — Turn 6K clips into 4K files at the camera’s own 4K size (4032 × 2268), still RAW and fully gradable, about four times smaller at Studio.
- Levels that match your camera — Master, Studio, Edit and Max follow the Nikon Z’s own bitrates for each clip’s mode and frame rate. Studio matches the camera’s own N-RAW Normal.
- Detail guard — Before each clip is written, sample frames are checked for streaking, lost texture and shadow tint. If a level’s size would cause them, that clip keeps more detail. The size shown before you press Compress already includes it.
- Real file type conversion — Switching between N-RAW and R3D NE converts the file the way the camera records each format, so it opens like a clip shot in that format.
- Compare with the original — The same spot of the same frame from the original and the new file, side by side or split, at 100, 200 or 400%, with scopes.
- Card offload and watch folders — Offload a camera card in one pass (originals backed up and checked, clips compressed), or let Raw Compact pick up new clips from folders you choose.
- Batch report — A PDF for any batch: every clip’s size before and after, the level used, the frames checked, and confirmation that originals and audio were left untouched.
- Automatic updates — Raw Compact can check for a new version each time you open it and shows what’s new before you install.
- General bug fixes and improvements
